Dermal Filler

Beau-Tox-Bar’s dermal filler treatment is a form of non-invasive treatment, meaning that the procedure doesn’t involve any incisions or removal of tissue. Through the aging process our skin begins to lose its natural elasticity and hydration.

Dermal fillers are an excellent treatment to restore volume and plumpness to lips, the jawline, and area under eyes, cheeks, chin and sometimes even the nose.

How Does The Procedure Work?

Dermal fillers are clear malleable gels derived from sugar, they are made up of a substance which mimics what is naturally found under the skin. The gels are made of hyaluronic acid which is a sugar acid found in the connective tissue of mammals, however the hyaluronic acid gels used are non animal sourced, therefor there is no need for allergy testing prior to treatment. A numbing cream will be applied to the area, and a tiny needle or cannula will be used to inject the filler into the targeted areas.

We all want to look young and feel our best, and dermal fillers offer a way to knock years off your appearance. And the best part is that it’s a simple and painless treatment.

How Is It Different To Botox?

Don’t confuse dermal fillers with Botox. They do both involve injections, but Botox is usually injected around the forehead and wrinkles around the eyes, to reduce muscle movement that will help keep those wrinkles away! And it has nothing to do with the plumping, smoothing effect dermal fillers have.

What Are Benefits Of Dermal Fillers?

Adding volume and smoothing out the deep creases that run from the nose to the mouth (called nasolabial folds or laugh lines)

Plumping thin lips and smoothing out vertical lines around the edges of the lips

Augmenting cheeks to enhance their shape, often restoring youthful fullness

Filling out depressions (hollows) under the eye area

Making indented scars from acne or chicken pox more even with surrounding skin

Increasing volume to fill out gauntness in the lower cheek or temple area, which most often occurs due to fat pads shifting beneath the surface of skin

Enhancing the jawline and lifting jowls which may be present as we age.

How Long Will The Filler Last?

Results can generally last from around 4 to 12 months, but these typically depend upon certain factors, including: the area of injection, the amount of treatments you have received, and the type of filler used. Upon consultation you will be given a better understanding of how long your dermal filler will last.

Are There Any Side Effects Or Risks?

As dermal fillers are made of water and hyaluronic acid, there are limited side effects as these two elements are naturally found in the body. A small percentage of people may experience swelling, bruising, redness, and irritation at the injection site. However, most of our patients experience little to no pain.

At Beau-Tox-Bar, our experienced professionals can provide you with a personalised assessment so that you understand the benefits of a dermal filler. As a result, our dermal fillers offer long-lasting results that leave you feeling happy and refreshed.
